Bourgeois left behind an eighteen-year corporate career after climbing to Vice President of National Accounts, where she managed a 3 billion dollar business unit for a Fortune 100 company, in order to create her own business. Dollars and Sense Magazine honored Bourgeois as one of the "Best and Brightest Women Leaders". As the founder and President of The Center for Workforce Excellence, Bourgeois continues to utilize her superb management and interpersonal skills to help others understand what it will take to unleash talent in others. An expert at developing next generation leaders and creating programs that enhance workforce performance, Bourgeois is an esteemed and reliable resource.
Bourgeois is the author of two leadership books, Her Corner Office : A Guide to Help Women Find a Place and a Voice in Corporate America 2nd Edition (Brown Books, 2007) and The Hybrid Leader: Blending the Best of Male and Female Leadership Styles. She has also written articles & white papers, and contributes regularly to educational materials for corporations, associations, and trade groups.
Trudy's clients range from Fortune 500 companies and national associations to educational institutions in the US and abroad. Her client list includes Wal-Mart, Kellogg, Kroger, Rockwell Automation, University of North Texas, and the Network of Executive Women to name a few.
Bourgeois is a graduate of Loyola University. Trudy is active in her church and community. She is particularly active in Special Olympics supporting her husband Michael who coaches their sons Special Olympic basketball team. She currently serves on the board for the Network of Executive Women and has also served as a board member for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), University of Texas (Denton- PLP Program), and Southwestern University.
