Speaking

Trudy Bourgeois.  The Truth Teller.
Enlightening.  Entertaining.  Empowering.

Trudy Bourgeois is CEO and Founder of The Center for Workforce Excellence. She is an international business speaker, executive coach, professional trainer/teacher and author.   For more than a decade, she has been engaging audiences around the globe.

Bourgeois is known as a workforce performance improvement strategist.  As such, she is on a mission to convince the world that each company’s greatest asset is found in one place – its people.

Due to her passion and ability for helping leaders understand how to connect with the most diverse workforce in history, she has earned a reputation for serving as a go-to, value-added resource in leadership development, cultural improvement and diversity and inclusion to the world’s top global companies.  Companies ranging from Proctor & Gamble, Nestle, PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, Kellogg’s, Texas Instruments, Medtronic, Intel and many others.

As a former senior sales and marketing executive, Trudy knows what she is talking about.  Breaking the glass ceiling in the tobacco industry, Bourgeois is only one of a handful of Women of Color who have the credibility, experience and style to deliver powerful, inspirational business presentations that spark action.

You see, Trudy’s entire life has been about change –
and how to use it to propel you…

Growing up in the Deep South during segregation and becoming one of the first African American students in a white school, she has a lot of experience with resiliency in the face of tumultuous change.

And, as one of ten children, she has a thing or two to say about collaboration, communication and teamwork.

As the mother of a special needs son, she knows how to motivate others to accept and embrace change.

Because of this experience, she has formed a clear position on diversity and inclusion.  It is simply this:  people don’t “get it” because they don’t want to “get it.”  Her life’s lessons have empowered her to teach people “HOW to get it!”

In addition, Trudy has been married to her husband, Mike, for 31 years.  If you need someone to talk about conflict and authentic relationships – you’ve found the expert in Trudy.

Whether it is working with small teams or speaking to groups of hundreds or thousands, Trudy has an amazing ability to connect.  Because she began her career at the bottom calling on retailers of all shapes and sizes and then worked her way up to become one of the first African American women to own a P&L in the consumer goods industry, Trudy knows – first-hand – what your audience members are going through. She has been there and conquered that.

In the past year alone, Trudy has provided engaging, inspiring and informative presentations to the following clients:  Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, Intel, The Network of Executive Women, Medtronic, Nestle Purina Pet Care, ELC (Executive Leadership Council), The Kroger Company, ConAgra Foods and so many other Fortune 1000, 500 and 100 companies.

Having Trudy as part of your lineup will guarantee your participants a great experience.  Try her – you will NOT be disappointed.

“I want to extend a warm ‘Thank You’ once again for a fabulous session!  Your program was not only insightful, but was filled with examples that were based upon current events, personal experiences and stories that touched the mind and heart!  The energy was great.  The audience was engaged (I heard out-loud laughter, shouts of ‘Amen!’ and saw a few tears being shed).”
